Absolutely obsessed with the sunglasses that DEV rocks in this video. It doesn't hurt that the song and video get me dancing.

Sweet Charity's "Big Spender"
Watched Sweet Charity yesterday, directed and choreographed by the renowned Bob Fosse. You might know him because of Beyoncé's Single Ladies video, which is inspired by Fosse. The movie is VERY long, and not the best in the world, but the dance numbers are highly entertaining, and very cemented in their time. This is one of my favorite sequences in the movie.

Hello! Lucky
Inspiration of the day comes from Hello! Lucky Stationary. Their product was featured on Gilt, so I checked out their website. In the world of email and texting and phone calls, handwritten letters and invitations sometimes get pushed by the wayside.
I still find physical thank you notes and invitations to be more powerful than their digital counterparts. Is it sad that something once so commonplace is almost turning nostalgic? Anyway, here are some of their products from Gilt that I found adorable. They're super retro and super stylized. Just what I look for!

Where did our love go?
I love 60s pop music. It is so much fun and peppy. One of my favorite songs from that era is The Supreme's Where Did Our Love Go?
This video is so much fun. The hair and outfits are so typical of the era and you could even say that they are timeless. It also harkens back to an era of great singers. Not necessarily great artists like today, when many people have a larger part in the creation of their music, but simply talented singers.

Color blocking
The daily inspiration is from the use of color blocking in clothing. I'm currently watching Ally McBeal S1 for the first time, and one of the many short-skirted skirts that she owns really stands out because of the color blocking. It's light gray on the top and darker gray from the bustline and down. It's cute, but I can't find any pictures of it online!
To make up for it, here are some links to color blocked clothing I found online. I think I'm drawn to it so much because it reminds me of the work of Piet Mondrian.
