This video is so much fun. The hair and outfits are so typical of the era and you could even say that they are timeless. It also harkens back to an era of great singers. Not necessarily great artists like today, when many people have a larger part in the creation of their music, but simply talented singers.

Where did our love go?
I love 60s pop music. It is so much fun and peppy. One of my favorite songs from that era is The Supreme's Where Did Our Love Go?

Color blocking
The daily inspiration is from the use of color blocking in clothing. I'm currently watching Ally McBeal S1 for the first time, and one of the many short-skirted skirts that she owns really stands out because of the color blocking. It's light gray on the top and darker gray from the bustline and down. It's cute, but I can't find any pictures of it online!
To make up for it, here are some links to color blocked clothing I found online. I think I'm drawn to it so much because it reminds me of the work of Piet Mondrian.

Róisín Murphy - You Know Me Better
So this is the first post in this blog. I thought I should start out with one of this month's most inspiring tracks for me. It's Róisín Murphy's You Know Me Better, from her 2007 album Overpowered. The song was written and produced by Murphy, as well as Andy Cato
of Groove Armada. The video was directed by Jaron Albertin, and takes inspiration from the work of photographer Cindy Sherman.
This song is incredible. The nu-disco elements are totally hypnotic, and I just have to dance when I hear it. The fashion in the video is beautiful, and I love how creative Róisín is. Some gorgeous shots are featured in it, so I present to you some low quality captures from youtube. What I thought was going to be 10-15 captures turned into a 34 capture picspam!
Check out all the captures after the jump!
